J. Michael Lengen

| PRESIDENT

Michael Lengen has more than 35 years of experience in real estate development, management and finance in all aspects of the multifamily and commercial real estate business.  Mr. Lengen held a number of senior positions with real estate development and banking firms including Century Development and First City National Bank.  In 1987, Mr. Lengen formed the Lexton Group as a full service commercial real estate asset management firm that provided asset management services to over 30 financial institutions. Mr. Lengen has provided leadership on multifamily housing partnerships of both market rate and affordable tax credit projects.

As CEO of ComCap, Mr. Lengen is responsible for the oversight of all property management issues, of acquiring new business and oversees the management of ComCap’s more than seventy employees.

 

Arthur McDermott

| SENIOR ADVISOR

With forty years in property management and ownership, Arthur McDermott provides guidance and reviews all activities. Arthur brings more than three decades of real estate experience to our organization. His knowledge and leadership comes from the key roles he has played in real estate development, property management, real estate investment, and land use consulting. Thirteen years ago Arthur developed his first Section 42 property in Commerce City, Colorado and since that time has been involved with development and management of many tax credit apartment communities. The success of these developments has earned Arthur a position as one of Colorado’s and the nation’s authorities on tax credit development.

Cheryl Gonzales

| CORPORATE FINANCIAL OFFICER

Cheryl is a CPA and has been in a financial management role in the apartment industry for more than twenty-five years. Cheryl and her accounting support staff handle payables, receivables, financial reporting to owners, investors and lenders and all other accounting responsibilities.

Chris Vargas

| VP OF OPERATIONS

Chris has been in the property management industry for 12 years, spending a good number of years with a major national fee-management company.  He built a reputation for converting poor performing properties into exceptional performing properties.  He has extensive experience in all aspects of the management of both affordable and conventional multifamily properties.

Chris is directly involved in daily communication with property managers through reporting and regular on-site visits. He monitors occupancy, delinquency, marketing, quality control, employee relations, employee training, financial analysis and budget preparation.

Peggy Chavez

| COMPLIANCE DIRECTOR

Ms. Chavez has more than 20 years of management, leadership and staff development experience in affordable housing and stabilization of at-risk properties. Her responsibilities have included meeting regulatory compliance requirements for as many as 15,000 units. Her extensive experience in LIHTC, HUD, HOME, California HCD, AHP, MHP and Supportive Housing Programs has made her knowledgeable and proficient in the complex world of affordable housing compliance.
Peggy reviews and maintains all files for tax credit compliance, conducts internal audits and also provides tax credit reporting for all properties’ third party accountants, tax credit investors and CHFA.

Steve Reynolds

| MAINTENANCE DIRECTOR

Steve Reynolds joined ComCap Asset Management, Inc. in 2007 as a senior maintenance supervisor and has since been promoted to Corporate Maintenance Director. Mr. Reynolds, with over 20 years of multi-family maintenance experience, has extensive knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, dry wall and pool/spa maintenance. He is responsible for maintenance training, inspections and overseeing onsite maintenance supervisors and technicians.
